About the role

The Bateup lab at UC Berkeley in California, USA has an open post-doctoral position for a scientist with expertise in electrophysiology. The candidate would work on a collaborative project studying how striatal and dopamine neuron development are affected in mouse models with mutations in autism risk genes.

Experimental approaches include slice electrophysiology, imaging of calcium and dopamine sensors, dendritic spine imaging, and behavior analysis. A PhD in neuroscience or related field is required. This position is currently funded by grants from the Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) and Weill Neurohub.
