The Whelan Lab aims to unravel and discover brain circuits that are involved in locomotion to ultimately help patients with movement disorders.

Potential projects include:

  • Discovering brain circuits responsible for locomotion.
  • Finding therapeutics targets in patients with movement disorders.
  • Understanding spinal cord circuits in Fragile X.
