npi electronic EXT-Series
Designed for low noise recordings of extracellular electric signals.
In extracellular recording, very small potentials in the µV range are measured. This requires high amplification and often also filtering. npi’s range of extracellular amplifiers meet these requirements.
Available as desktop instruments, in a 19” rack mount cabinet or as module for the EPMS modular system 1
All npi extracellular amplifiers have high pass and low pass filter and gain up to 10000
Allow DC measurements and AC recordings in which offsets are cancelled automatically

The EXT-02F has two differential inputs with high input resistance via BNC connectors or optionally with headstages. The output voltage signal is available AC or DC with variable gain (up to 10k), and can be filtered. The system is housed in a desktop metal case with an external power supply.
Two recording channels with stimulus control, differential INPUT(S). One power supply for up to four EXT-02 B amplifiers, one REL-08 B and one AUD-08 B system. Two different OUTPUTS: DC with GAIN x10 and OFFSET control, range ± 500 mV and AC with GAIN x10 to x10k, HIGHPASS and LOWPASS filtered.
Extracellular recording with 4-channel tetrodes becomes more and more popular. The EXT-T2 amplifier/filter is designed for recording from up to two tetrodes. The signals recorded from every single tetrode attached to the headstages are amplified and filtered, and linked to the BNC connectors at the front panel.
Extracellular recordings with up to 16 channels. Up to 16 gain stages, 16 high pass and 16 low pass filter corner frequencies; set by rotary switch. Customized configuration for all channels (set by factory). Digital display of selected channel, gain, high pass and low pass filter corner frequency.
