The ISO-STIM 01D stimulus isolation unit is designed for application of extracellular stimuli, e.g. in brain slices.

It is able to generate a bipolar stimulus without delay between positive and negative part of the stimulus. The second part of the bipolar stimulus has the same amplitude and length as the first part but reverse polarity.

Stimulus polarity set by switch (+, 0, -) or by data acquisition system

Capacitance compensation for the electrode capacitance

  • No batteries needed
  • Isolated output
  • Three input modes: analog, gate TTL, direct
  • Stimulus amplitude set by three digit control and a range switch (current) or by an external source, e.g. a data acquisit system.
  • Current (±10 mA) or voltage (±100 V) source output
  • "Overrange" and "active" LED indicators
  • True current clamp mode (optional)
  • By default with bipolar stimulus generation
